Roark Baby ~ Week 35

Size? Baby Roark is about the size of a large cantaloupe (19-22 in., around 5 to 5.5 lbs.)
Measuring: On track – the doc said he was about 4.5 lbs last week at our appointment so we’re on track to have a 7 lb. baby. Whew!
Total weight gain/loss? around 36 lbs. or so.
Maternity clothes? yep!
Cravings? Still trying to eat more protein, but my sweet tooth kicks in around 3 pm everyday. The veggies and humus are just not the same… Maybe some if these healthy alternatives I keep reading about will help. We’ll see!
Stretch marks? maybe a few… Clothes wrinkles make it hard to decipher in the morning and evenings. Plus, I can’t see around my belly much anymore without our full length mirror.
Best moment of the week? All this rain! Even though it makes humidity a million times worse, it’s great to see everything so green and enjoy the cool mornings before the heat comes in the afternoon. It would be great if it continued a little longer than just this week — in steady waves so as to not cause more flooding, right?
Movement? he’s doing the wave and all now. Kind of fun to watch him squirm around in there. I’m not as self-conscious about t anymore either.
Gender Predictions? It’s a boy!
What do I miss? Fitting into my clothes… It is a constant wardrobe change to see what fits and what needs to be out back in the closet. While I look huge, I have forgotten what it felt like before I was pregnant… Except that it was a lot easier to get dressed for work in the morning. It just takes more planning now.
What am I looking forward to? Meeting my cousins third little one on Thursday! Little Brooke will join us soon and we’re all so excited to meet her. I’m sure she’ll be just as adorable and spunky as her older sisters.
How are you feeling? Huge… But good overall. It’s a constant battle to drink enough water each day, but the days I do it makes a huge difference. Maybe I should just start wearing one of those hydration backpacks that joggers and hikers wear. I am already a public spectacle so now people could make small talk about that rather than my due date, their pregnancy, the heat, terrible birth and baby stories and such. I’m sure it will int get worse before it gets better though. I just shrug them of for the most part.
